From WhateverLife to SpaceHeyLayouts.com
If you were around for the MySpace era, there's a good chance you've seen our work before.
As a teenager, I built WhateverLife.com, a MySpace layout and graphics site that grew way bigger than I ever imagined. It was a mix of messy HTML, glitter graphics, late-night coding, and a whole lot of creativity from kids who just wanted their profiles to feel like them.
Running WhateverLife taught me how powerful online self-expression could be—especially for teens and young adults who didn't see themselves in polished, corporate design.
Fast forward to now, and that same spirit is exactly why SpaceHeyLayouts.com exists.
A Little Backstory: WhateverLife
WhateverLife started as a simple idea:
Make it easy (and fun) for people to customize their MySpace profiles without needing to know code.
Over time, WhateverLife:
- Served millions of layouts and graphics to users across the world
- Helped countless teens learn basic HTML/CSS just by copying and pasting code
- Turned into a real business before I ever had a "career plan"
- Gave me a crash course in design, UX, branding, servers, support, and community-building
Most importantly, it showed me how much joy people got from taking a blank profile and turning it into their own little corner of the internet.
Why SpaceHeyLayouts.com Exists
When SpaceHey arrived—a modern, privacy-focused homage to classic MySpace—it felt like the internet got a second chance at that golden era of creativity and chaos (in the best way).
I saw the SpaceHey community doing exactly what MySpace kids used to do:
- Hunting for layouts
- Sharing profile codes
- Experimenting with HTML & CSS
- Turning their pages into living, breathing mood boards
It felt familiar. It felt like home.
So we created SpaceHeyLayouts.com as a direct nod to that history:
- 🪩 An homage to MySpace and WhateverLife
- 🎨 A dedicated place for SpaceHey layouts, graphics, and resources
- 💻 A bridge between old-school profile customization and today's retro-social revival
This isn't just "another layout site." It's a continuation of the same story—just updated for a new platform and a new generation.
What You'll Find on SpaceHeyLayouts.com
We design SpaceHey layouts with the same mindset that made WhateverLife work:

Nostalgic, but refreshed
Think MySpace-era vibes: glitter, gradients, pixel hearts, emo, scene, indie, minimal, pastel, whatever your aesthetic is.
